Accardi was instrumental in establishing CDAO two years ago and was the Alliance’s first Chair. "I look forward to finding creative solutions to the many challenges being faced by Ontario’s design and construction sector,” says Thurston. “CDAO has a strong relationship with both infrastructure ministry officials and Infrastructure Ontario officials. I will continue to build on that foundation for a stronger future.” OAA logoAs a founding member of the CDAO, Doyle is pleased to take on the role of Vice-Chair. “The CDAO has made great strides since its inception and I am looking forward to ensuring that the organization continues to mature and represents the voice of the design and construction industry to the Ontario government.” The Construction Design Alliance of Ontario is a collaborative organization of 14 associations and organizations, representing a broad cross-section of professions, which design and build infrastructure projects in Ontario. CDAO’s primary goal is to advocate for infrastructure investment and provide municipal and provincial governments a collective forum to seek input and advice from stakeholders. Recently, CDAO was instrumental in Infrastructure Ontario’s decision to modify procedures relating to the bundling of projects. CDAO members also played a key role in having ‘local knowledge’ points included in Infrastructure Ontario’s RFQ process. CDAO provides regular feedback on government policy, legislation and consultative white papers. CDAO members are also key organizers of the ProcurmentProject.ca and Ontario’s annual Procurement Day.
